This is a showstopper, a big and bold departure for a single-malt brand otherwise known for delicacy. As rich as its dark-amber hue would suggest, it puts an extra 'o' in 'smooth.' Syrupy-dense, the Glenmorangie Signet, bottled at 46-per-cent alcohol, gracefully weaves together a rich tapestry of fine Scotch nuances: dried fruit, toasted nuts, dried cereal, cocoa, vanilla, coffee and toasty oak. Don't dream of mixing this voluptuous after-dinner glory with anything but good friends or family. Score - 97. (Beppi Crosariol, The Globe and Mail, April 17, 2017)
