Cesari Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG is a powerful and elegant red wine from Italy’s Veneto region, crafted using the traditional appassimento method in which grapes are partially dried before fermentation. This process concentrates flavors and creates Amarone’s hallmark richness, depth, and age-worthy structure.

Tasting Notes

The nose is intense and complex, opening with aromas of dried cherry, black plum, and blackberry layered over notes of fig, raisin, and dark chocolate. Hints of sweet tobacco, leather, espresso, and baking spices emerge with aeration, while subtle notes of cedar and balsamic herbs add sophistication.

On the palate, it is full-bodied and richly textured. Concentrated flavors of black cherry compote, dried berries, and plum preserve are supported by layers of cocoa, mocha, vanilla, and sweet spice.
