Bottled at a perfectly balanced 43% ABV, it is a masterpiece designed for those who appreciate the finer, deeply complex layers of Highland single malts.
The Cask Selection & Maturation
The incredible depth of this 18-year-old whisky is achieved through a precise split-cask maturation strategy:
The Foundation: The spirit spends its first 15 years developing a silky, sweet, and fruity character inside premium American white oak ex-bourbon casks.
The Split & Finish: At the 15-year mark, approximately 30% of the whisky is transferred into fresh, top-tier Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The remaining 70% continues its quiet maturation in bourbon wood.
The Reunion: After three additional years of separate aging, these two distinct worlds are married back together. The sherry-cask influence introduces dark fruits and exotic spices that flawlessly weave into the bourbon wood's honeyed floral backbone.
Sensory Profile
Appearance: Bright, warm honey-gold with a deep copper clarity.
Nose: Rich, opulent, and airy. Intricate aromas of heather honey, creamy vanilla, and caramelized citrus give way to a fragrant, sun-drenched garden bouquet of jasmine, honeysuckle, and lemon blossom.
Palate: Remarkably rounded, full-bodied, and polished on the tongue. Sweeter notes of caramelized orange and toffee ripple across a decadent, warm rhapsody of rich figs, dates, mandarin orange cake, and gentle baking spices.
Finish: Exceptionally long, sweet, and enticing. It leaves a beautiful trace of dark chocolate, Olde English marmalade, and Oloroso nuttiness, kissed by the absolute faintest, fleeting wisp of wood smoke.
