This is a brilliantly rich and complex single malt. Opening with rich and fiery smells of crème brulee, heather honey and disintegrated cinnamon, seriously fruity notes follow - new pineapple dressed with a dissipating of sun-kissed lemon zing. There's a touch of newly prepared wipe cake as well, warm from the stove, and you'll find cinnamon once more, however toasted shards this time. Citrus and vanilla notes wait in the sweet-smelling rushes of peat smoke. To make 15 Year Old Viking Heart, Gordon Movement, our Lord Whisky Creator, chose transcendently sherry prepared European oak containers to convey warm, hot notes and sherry prepared American oak barrels to give an equilibrium of sweet vanilla. Skillfully adding only a couple of top off barrels to relax and smooth the flavors, Gordon decided to bottle at 44% ABV to permit the whisky's dynamic fruitiness and particular heathery peat smoke to radiate through.
