Description

Description

Mijenta Tequila Blanco is an award-winning, premium highland tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, widely celebrated for its 100% additive-free production and heavy commitment to environmental sustainability. Crafted by acclaimed Maestra Tequilera Ana María Romero Mena, it is bottled unaged at 40% ABV (80 proof)

Origin:
Los Altos (Highlands) of Jalisco, Mexico (Arandas).

  • Distillery Location: Produced at NOM 1499 (Casa Tequilera de Arandas).
  • Agave Type: 100% fully mature Blue Weber Agave grown in iron-rich red highland soil.
  • Accolades: Earned a rare 97-point rating from The Tasting Panel Magazine and was certified as a B-Corp for its carbon-neutral footprint and eco-packaging (which uses local agave-waste paper).
Tasting Profile
Ana María Romero Mena brings a winemaker’s and sommelier's perspective to the distillation process, highlighting the naturally sweet, fruity, and floral characteristics of highland terroir.
  • Nose: Expressive and complex. Dominant aromas of cooked agave, vanilla, and caramel blend seamlessly with fresh cantaloupe, white peach, honey, and delicate floral notes of rose and acacia petals.
  • Palate: Exceptionally smooth and silky with a rich mouthfeel. Layers of sweet caramelized agave open up into summer melon, fresh citrus zest, honey, and baking spices like cinnamon.
  • Finish: Clean, crisp, and fresh. It trails off with a light, warm peppery kick, a touch of minerality, and subtle hints of grapefruit zest
